Comparison between Injection Magnet and Adhesive Magnet
Injection molded magnets and bonded magnets are two common methods for preparing permanent magnet materials, which have some similarities but also some differences. The following is a comparison of them:
1. Preparation method: Injection molded magnets are prepared by mixing magnetic powder and plastic resin and then injection molding, while bonded magnets are formed by mixing magnetic powder and binder and pressing them together.
2. Cost: The production cost of bonded magnets is relatively low because its preparation process is relatively simple and
does not require high-temperature treatment, while the preparation process of injection molded magnets is relatively
complex and requires high-temperature injection molding, resulting in higher costs
3. Magnetic properties: The magnetic properties of bonded magnets are usually higher than those of injection molded
magnets, because the particle structure of dead junction magnets is denser and has better domain alignment, while the
particle structure of injection molded magnets is relatively loose and has poor domain alignment.
4. Shape and size: Injection molded magnets can be prepared into complex shapes and small-sized magnets, while
bonded magnets are usually suitable for the preparation of large-sized and simple shaped magnets.
5. Process control: The production process of injection molded magnets can achieve process control by controlling
parameters such as injection speed and temperature, while the production process of bonded magnets is more
important for controlling parameters such as pressure and temperature.
In summary, injection molded magnets and bonded magnets each have their own advantages and limitations, and the
specific choice depends on factors such as required magnetic properties, shape and size, cost, and process requirements.
